Picnic Table Yoga
Get your body moving in the fresh air with the stability of a picnic table to support you. This 60-minute class, a variation on chair yoga, blends nourishing breathing practices, seated and standing poses to bring motion to all your major joints and muscles. You should feel both relaxed and energized as you leave.
We won’t be getting down on the ground at all in this class and you will always have the option of the table for support
Gait Happens Foot Resilience Lab – a 90 minute Foot Health Workshop
Do foot issues get in the way of doing what you love?
Learn to rebuild your foot strength and mobility during the Foot Resilience Lab! Strong healthy feet help keep us moving for a lifetime. If you’ve been sidelined by foot issues, you know how much they impact your ability to enjoy your life.
In the 90 (+) minute Foot Resilience Lab, you will learn new tools for assessing, mobilizing, strengthening and integrating your feet into your whole-body movement. Our goal is to help you understand your own feet and customize a strength and mobility program that works for you. You will take home the Gait Happens Foot Health Kit (included with registration).
This educational and movement-based workshop will benefit anyone who uses their feet to move;) from casual walkers to elite athletes. Our movement will involve some time seated, standing and walking. Please plan to take your shoes off. If you have a yoga mat, you may prefer it to the ground.
Pre-registration required. $100, includes the Gait Happens Foot Health Kit.
I’ve been a yoga teacher and movement nerd since 2010, and owned a boutique studio, YogaGeauga in Newbury, Ohio until 2020. I adore practicing and teaching yoga but know most bodies need something more. So now I incorporate anatomy knowledge, strength and functional movement skills into all my teaching. I recovered from a prolonged bout of plantar fasciitis last year with the help of Gait Happens, so I became a Gait Happens Certified Trainer to try to help others understand and improve their foot function. I believe every person who lives in a body needs to create their personal owner’s manual.
